Week #3 Thing #7 July 3, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — shshuskies @ 8:44 pm

So for this exercise we are supposed to blog about anything tech related that has recently caught our attention. That must mean I can briefly talk about my joy of getting a iphone! My husband was the one who was able to get the discounted price of the new iphone 3GS so he gave me his 2nd generation iphone and I love it! I’ve only had it for a few days and right now I’m having the most fun typing on it (it’s all touch screen technology) and I’m having fun looking at all the available apps. I found an app for quilting that details how much fabric you will need for a particular block (quilting is one of my hobbies), one for Pandora’s internet radio, one for facebook (you’d love that one, Sally!) and even an app that lets you listen to white noise! Too fun!

I’m so jealous! Hey, I used to quilt too. You’ll have to share shots of your quilts taken with your new i-phone on Facebook or Flickr. Go technology!

I’m jealous, too! We have an ATT contract (with no iPhones) that will not allow us to have the introductory/upgrade price until the end of July – I can’t wait to try the iPhone. As far as sewing goes, do you know about F & S Fabric stores in LA? I just visited them today for the first time. They are on Pico near Century City. They have three home decorator fabric stores on the south side and a huge dress-fabric store on the other side of the street. I only went into the dress-fabric store – wow – notions, buttons, trim, a whole room of cotton fabrics – it was amazing.
